just some before and after pics of my motor. Took intake and Valve covers off and painted black. Also added K&N Filter to the mix. Now she runs a hella lot better since i cleaned out the intake ports and discovered the EGR ports were completely clogged. Still have alot more work to do under the hood...

Hey, what did you use to clean the intake ports and EGR ports?
Nice filters by the way!

ugh! all that hot air getting in, would work as intended with a cowl hood and block of panel.
shure "looks" pretty tho.
Mutch better setup (http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SPE-711/)
for non cowl hooded vehicals
Clean intake and EGR with Berrymans B-12 (http://www.autozone.com/autozone/accessories/Berryman-16-25-oz-B-12-carburetor-spray-cleaner/_/N-25uv?itemIdentifier=525295&_requestid=309660)

I remember back in the day when K&N showed that lid in their literature but did not prduce it yet. Such a cool addition, engine looks good.

Excessive warm air > not enough cool air.
:hands:
That dual setup is cool, I ran one on my 86 K5 Blazer but that was driven in puddles, deep water and what not. That setup really doesn't fit the themes of my (or most) of our trucks here and it's fairly $$$. Mine is a cheapo setup really.
