get what you like in looks, and price. All will give you close to the same effect if any, if at any, performance gains.

yea i like AEM as well, just didnt like the kick in the pants the AEM was trying to give me so i went a different route and bought the cheapest short ram (AEM style) intake i could find on Ebay ($60 to the door) and then went up to a local auto race shop and ordered the same AEM cone filter for $55... at this point i have an AEM BF for well under half the price and im sure now the only difference is the grommits, they might not last as long, but are easily replaced in the coming years

I heard that S&B makes a nice setup. Plus you can have a logo lasered into the clear filter cover.

Volant is nice if you want the gains with slightly reduced noise since they use an aftermarket airbox assembly.
AEM is nice because it's less expensive and uses a dry filter, so no oil or any of that BS, just rinse and dry and put back on. It's a little more noisy though.
I'd go with AEM personally, as I like the added sound and the filter is slick. I'm pretty sure you can get a dry filter with the Volant too, but it's an extra option that adds cost to an already expensive setup.

The people I kno with AEM are more than happy with them and the price is good too, on mine I have a K&N 77 series with the chrome tube, picked it up 2 weeks old for $75 from a neighbor who's son got a DUI and they were sellin his silverado on him, don't think I would throw down the $300 or so K&N want for a new one but Im happy with it....... Just encourage underage drinking and get performance parts for cheap

Had a hekll of a time prepping it, polished tube is much more difficult to paint but I think it looks 10x better than when I first installed the system

That AEM setup looks alot like the Spectre CAI that they use on Power Block Trucks TV show and I think it is only about $120-$150 depending on the application. I believe they come with a red filter. I personally have the S&B system and it did wonders for opening up my tahoe. Clean look and good throaty sound to it at wot.
