Hey, I was looking on eBay and saw some Wood grain interior "upgrade" kits and was wondering if anyone here was using them? I really like how the inside of an Escalade looks with all the woodgrain and wanted to see some installed pics if anyone did it and best prices too.

Ebay $58 way more trim than I installed came with. The door panel peices were big and cheesy so I cut them to resemble Escalade trim.

I agree doors look good. I like the wood trim it just seems like a lot of these kits end up looking cheap. If I had a tahoe instead of a nali I'd just order the plastic "wood" bezels from gmpartsdirect. they're pricey but I think it would look the most factory.
Also If I were to get one of these 3m kits I would never install the trim around the vents....that just looks terrible.

oh yeah and if anyone does get a lead on those denali blackwood steering wheels post that up. I saw one in a parking lot the other day but didn't feel like waiting around for the owner to show up so I could ask em.

I wanted to go with the wood grain look but have always wondered if the dash bezel would interfere with an after market radio, such as a double din screen. Would you have to trim it.

anyone looking for an original denali steering wheel give G&R a call in OKC at (405)634-0575 I got a perfect condition 04 yukon steering wheel for $50! I was wanting to replace the steering wheel buttons, but thats how much one new button from the dealer costs so I bought the wheel! They had a bunch of steering wheels from trailblazers to escalades...hopefully they still do.

Yes they make everything from carbon fiber to 14 different kinds of wood kits. The Denali OEM wood is Zebra Woodgrain FYI

i like the kits that have way too much wood IF the wood matches the interior..
like ebony wood on black.. .or silver carbon on grey.. so where it all looks like its supposed to be there.. but yea.. a gang of yellow/brown wood piled on top of a bunch of grey interior looks cheesey

In case anyone was seriously considering getting the wood grain, Im going to post my experience w/ this guy in cali....
With the White Denali, you only get that beige/tan trim so its next to impossible to find an OEM steering wheel that isn't f-in black...I've always wanted that grain grip so I called Greg (left a VM -> called back in no time) to get some pricing and ideas. Apparently, he can do just about ANYTHING to your preference in terms of trim. I've been looking for a tan/black wood grip Denali steering wheel for months / ebay / autoanything / no body really specializes in refurb OEM int. trims pieces (specializes = not a seller on ebay w/ a surplus of Korean knock-off parts). After seeing his website (http://autodynamicswest.com/inttrim.html) i was sold...specially after seeing what I THINK is the only tan/black wood trim that looks GOOOD!
https://dl-web.dropbox.com/get/Photos/PICTURE%20BOX/Me%20with%20Olds.png/Black%20Wood%20Trim%20%28denali%29.jpg?w=bc3f5aa9
So you pay upfront and ship your steering wheel out to him.....he services the buttons (lights), re-wraps the leather, and puts that stunning black wood where it belongs. (NOTE - He sends you a temp OEM wheel) He said turn around is normally 2-3 weeks and its NOT CHEAP. The est. he gave me incl. shipping both ways/labor/materials is just shy of $300. The pic above shows the FULL DASH KIT in matching Black Wood trim (just like the lade, only better!).
If you want the dash trim too (w/ door trim pieces + cup holder/ash tray) they will run you shy of $400. The man does amazing work, ill let ya'll know if its worth it. --------> not looking forward to driving around looking @ a blk. steering wheel! :/

It takes about 3 weeks to receive your goodies. On top of the prices listed above a rate is added for him having to ship the items to another factory that does the actual work.

I just dont like putting money up then waiting longer than a week to get something back. Part of that rate more than likely goes towards some kind of insurance, but I've never done a transaction like this b4. The kits look f-in slick...nice fit and finish & definite quality - which always comes a premium no a days. Steering wheel gets shipped on Payday

You can only replace (easily) 2000-2002 Gauge lights,
2003-2006 are soldered in and a PITA to replace :Handshake:
