Anyone know where to get an LED flasher for a '97 thaoe? I know I got one for my F4i a few years ago, but I don't know how many prong the tahoes are, or even where the flasher is LOL
I googled a little bit, but if someone can help me out I'd appreciate it.
BTW I don't want to run load equalizers, I hate those things

Look by your parking brake...Should be a circuit board looking thing next to it, look for a little square box that says Hazard/Turn flasher. Local parts store should carry electronic flashers or you can order it from superbrightleds

No problem. Autozone should have it, I know Kragen does.

I went to NAPA and asked for an "Electronic Flasher Module" and they had one for $15 but they said it was the same one as stock.
Am I missing something here? What is the difference for the one that works with LED's?

Gulley I think ares are already the electronic control type so its timing is not afected by power load.

Stock trucks are not electronic. You will definately need a new one to stop the flashing of a million times a minute.
I had posted up the flasher part number of mine HERE (http://www.tahoeyukonforum.com/forum/showthread.php?p=208980#post208980) previously. IIRC it was EM29. And when done the dash signal lights will both stay lit up when the lights are on, but otherwise function ok. I just left mine like that.
I'd go back and buy that $15 part from Napa. I'll bet it would work ok.

I say this because our 96's factory diagrams are wired with 4 terminals and the 4 terminal is the electronic one according to several websites. I even removed a rear turn bulb with no kind of thermal timing effects so what am I missing?

you will need one for the hazards or you will have hyper flash
when you have the lights on. part # ep29 from superbrights.

Actually it is EP29L for a led compatible unit.
