Took the wifey to the local outdoor movie theater to watch land of the lost and drag me to hell (2 movies for the price of 1 :D) and the Hoe started acting funny when I was paying for the tickets. So we went and parked and watched the movies and tried to start it to leave and it was idleing really rough and wouldn't rev up at all no matter how much gas I gave it. But I finally got it out of the parking lot and into the goodwill parking lot where my mom works, witch is like 1000 feet away and it died and wouldn't start. The fuel pump turns on and pumps up, but a few months ago I had the same problem and it was the cap and rotor, and now not even 4000 miles and its out again.

I was giving the Hoe love all day, pulled off the grille and repainted it, painted my APC 4 corner lights since they were turning yellow and had water in them and then she let me down :(

So tomorrow I have to get up early and get a new cap and rotor and change it in the goodwill parking lot, that is if it doesn't get towed tonight. But I called the cops and told them what happened, so hopefully they don't mess with it.

But sorry for the long pointless post, but I just can't seem to win these past few weeks, everytime I touch the thing something goes wrong and costs me more money

Well ok I can't blame autozone this time. The nut that holds the intake tube onto the throttle body is MIA and the hat came off a little bit sucking in air that wasn't going through the mass air, so it wouldn't run. Went down to ace and got a m8x1.25 and its back up and running :D

Hey man I feel your pain - in fact I had to give the hoe a little rub because JK and I were cussing her out a little. For a while it seemed like she just didn't want to be mod'd with all the bullshit that was going wrong.

Stick with it man, I finally got over my hump...the light is at the end of the tunnel LOL

HAHA thanks guys, I went to the cap first since I have gone through about 8 of them between my Hoe and my dads truck. I looked it over last night, but was pissed and it was dark so I guess I just missed it :(

But all is good for now, and tonight I gave her some more love. Installed my old sony deck and started modding for my fog lights.

I dont trust any autozone! most of them have people working that dont know jack shit, and most of their neverlast products either are defective or dont last long at all.

I only go there to drop off my used motor oil. Usually, I will go to O'Reillys for stuff.

am I the only one who likes going to the dealer because their prices are competitive with places like autozone and I know the part is going to be correct and last longer than a week????

HAHAHAHAHA I wish there was a dealer around here that was competitive, I told the local guy that their prices are way out of line and I can get them from gmpartsdirect ALOT cheaper even after paying the shipping and he told me I was a liar.

I go there once in a while, but they are easily 2x higher than the local parts stores

I can see some reason why dealer parts are expensive. I work at a Toyota dealer and we mark our parts up a bit to actually make money, but we don't get them from Toyota distribution at a great price either. Some things we'll actually go aftermarket to keep the cost of a service low (with the permission of the customer of course).

I can't use the Auto zone near me, because I can't speak spanish.......

Most of the time it's NAPA for me or the Chevy Dealer. Seems to be a quality difference.....

Over my years of working on machinery on a farm, I have found NAPA to be one of the best suppliers of parts, for heavy equipment and automotive. Their tools, eh, but the parts are usually of good quality and price.

Autozone and Pepboys are good for some things...but as far as parts such as starters alternators and shit like that. your screwed!

Never delt with Napa...but I would since its all over speed network.

They are some parts u can cheap out on...some you can't
