Does it work out? If so, I will get ahold of Jenna and see when the next time she comes down to AZ. I will start on my Durmax first if that can be done.

i got a tune last month and absolutely love it! i had 80% of the torque management removed and justin maxed out the transmission line pressure and it shifts nice and hard now. i went with the 91 octane tune and so far i`ve gotten a 2 mpg increase on the highway and it really woke the truck up. it was worth every penny.

Both of you are morons...yep I said it, morons.

What goes into tuning? What does it do for a dmax like mine? If the tune can add gas mileage, take off speed and passing speed, then I am all for it. Fill me in on it a little bit more.

you can set shift points, get rid of the speed cutoff, and HP gains.

I remember PMing jenna a while back and they dont tune Dmax's yet.
QUOTE]do you guys tune diesels?????

thanks.
Justin hasn't spent much time on them yet, so he hasn't started really getting into the tuning. He would prefer to have time with one on the dyno before sending out tunes for them.

Jenna

But I would def get your wifes tahoe done. It will make that drive so much better.

He will be in Ventura and Temecula next week. However, you don't have to wait for him to come to you, majority of his tuning is via mail, whether it be traditional or cable is up to you.

well shaggy is my "nieghbor" I was hoping he would say "take it for a spin"

Then you should know Shaggy well enough to know he'll take forever, and you'll never get to take it for a spin...well at least not until another year or 2 when he gets it done:crazy:

Do it man. You wont regret it. Maybe by getting it done, it will get his old ass moving to get one done too:crazy:

I don't know how you do it. No one, I mean No One, is allowed to drive my truck...Civic I don't give a shit...but the truck is a different ball game

well what I meant by anyone was a person I can trust. not some hobo on an off ramp.

I'm on the fence as far as custom tune I know is kinda cheap but I wish there was a "test drive" where if I was not happy or didnot meet my expectation I could "return" it. I know some people swear by it but I noticed a dyno sheet on another forum and I was not too impressed with the numbers.

I know guys that have 10 second rides (race cars), after one hour of Justin (Black Bear)sitting in their truck, said it was a totally new truck....

I've done alot of reading, and have yet hear any disappointments.

let me add my .02 here...

I have a few support mods (intake and exhaust) and i saw very very little with them, i got better milage with the intake and a VERY VERY small increase in throttle response.

Shorty after i got those mods i hit up Justin for a scan cable tube (this is the best way to go if you cant meet him in person, and is really quite nice... very custom fitted)

he goes over everything really well with you and answers every question you will have.... i got a very aggresive tune from him and could be happier!!

GET AN AGGRESIVE TUNE PEOPLE!! seriously, i was a little worried that the tune would be a little to much and the shift points would be to rough or whatever... not at all Justin is a wiz and the tahoe runs like a dream... this is the single BEST $300 i have ever spent on my truck, hands down

tybardy what kind of power did that tune give you?

Ive been looking for some good power adders for my truck and right now I am looking at the Diablosport predator. I like having the ability to go from a performance tune to a factory tune in a couple of minutes. I just looked at the Blackbear website and saw that Blackbear was coming to my town on August 22nd and 23rd (NJ). Can i just show up and get a custom tune on the spot? If i get a high performance tune do i always have to run 91 or 87? Dont i have to purchase something beforehand? Right now the calender has 10 deposits, is there still availiblity?
