Yeah they give off a slightly bluish tint. I got them to match my HIDs. To me they're brighter than the stock lights. I think the PUTCOs are brighter due to them having more SMD Leds per blub. These have 12 per bulb

I ordered 6 for my 2009 Tahoe. They're 44mm Festoon type bulbs. You might want to double check if those are the same type bulbs you're car uses.

Hey Scottrick and tool, about how bright are these LEDs, I am about to get some but want to know if they are bright enough??

I think they're bright enough. keep in mind there is a slight blushish tint.

Anyone having problems with a 09 puddle lights? my LED's still only flash on and won't stay on. my dome light button is in extended position and exit/approach lighting are set to on. I thought both the puddle lights and license plate lights were to stay on when i took the key out to exit the vehicle? I dunno.

I do know the LP ligths should be on when the vehocle is exited like the headlight, not sure about the puddle lights as I don;t have them.
Maybe you should go and makesure the puddle light LEDs are tight in the housing, if they are then that could just be how they operate.

you would have to go to the DIC and adjust the exit lighting set it to 2 minutes. they'll stay on for that period but as far as driving with those lights on can not happen that is not what those lights are for!!. i have installed them on my trucc the same time i put the license plate lights on and when i use the remote to unlocc the doors the puddle lights come on...but doesn't stay on. its just on a timer. so to speak i think they suppose to come on when you open the door as well but im not to sure bout that becuz i set my lights to stay on when the doors are open.

Yeah I was leaning toward Putco but that price was WAY out of my range for some dome lights!!

They ship from hong kong, so it takes awhile. They should have sent you a tracking #, it'll at least show when it left them. its not very detailed like the ups or fedex sites.

yeah i finally got them in yesterday and installed them, and love the way they look, one of the bulbs was messed up and a row of 4 LEDs was out so i took a picture and emailed the guy and he is going to ship me a new one, but other than that they are awesome

I got my puddle lights done, they are the same bulb as the license plate bulbs (if you have changed those).

According to the Sylvania website the bulbs are 212-2 which are a 41mm bulb.

I think I'm going to get these:

These arrived today and the installed no problem. I had to squeeze a couple of the clips just a tad tighter but no biggie.

Should look good in the dark. I pointed the domes straight down and the maps a little towards each seat. I'll fine tune if needed.

Hey you may have gotten your problem resolved by now, but if you have try this. Quick story: I just swith out some regular bulbs for LED's on my motorcycle and the where the regular bulbs always stayed on, the LEDs didn't. Problem is since LED's use so little current draw the vehicle doesn't recognize it's there. My bike did the same thing, blinkers would blink but it won't stay on as running light like the regular bulb did.

SOLUTION: You need a resistor to equalize the load to recognize the led, go talk to an electrician or any cycle dealership and they will tell you what size of resistor to buy. BTW they can be bought from radioShack. I see ur in Cove, you must be a GI

Yukon07Artic-Are those the 44mm 12SMD lights off ebay from user ledlightzlz? Yours look more white then the previous picture posted, which is what I am looking for. My last set were too blue for me.

Has anyone tryed these 36smd bulbs? Will they fit? For 2 bucks more a piece they are probably worth it for the exta brightness.

http://www.v-leds.com/Interior-LED/DomeMap-LED/White-LED/SUPER-5K-WHITE-36-LED-p6941705-1-3.html

I e-mailed them and they said they will fit, so I went with that. If not I can bitch at them and hope they send me the other ones.
I didn't realize until after I ordered that they are "36 Mini SMTs" compared to the "20 led SMTs", oh well. After realizing I looked for the lumen specs but they did not have them for the 36 M-SMTs.

I will let you guys know how they turn out when i get them.

If order from v-leds.com use the coupon code "toyotanation". This will get you 10% off your order.

And also be careful when you are ordering. They offer white leds in 5000k (more white) and 6000k (blue tint to them).

These lights are exactly identical to tools. Or atleast they are from the same seller. I dont know why my lights appear whiter than tools but every batch they manufacture had a +/- deviation. Maybe i just got the whiter ones.

It could also be the camera. Some camera catches the Cyon ( blue ) more than others.

Whats everyone using for their "puddle" lights under their mirrors?

I just got some high powered SMD 360 bulbs, but there not very bright. They just fit inside the hole, if they were any bigger they wounld not fit.
I wish the 07-10 puddle lights were like the 00-06 where you could just put a huge row of led's in there.
So whats everyone else doing with the 07-10 models?

I just put mine in I bought from eBay let me tell you those things are bright. I spent 35 with shipping for all 6 of them and I am pleased rather then spending $200

Okay I just read through this and i guess i'll ask the noob question, only because i'm afraid of cracking anything lol. How do you pop the cover piece off? just a flat head screw driver and pry out?

Didn't read entire post but just converted all my lighting due to this post... Check on forum "Tahoe 00-06" "Interior" "sticky L.E.D. Conversion". No brainer with all the info ya need imo.

Do they still make a festoon version of the 212 36LED m-smt?
