YA YA! That thing sounds like a scream!!! It's like a horror movie going by!

What I liked was that video in the dark....it was like hearing a blood curdling scream from a distance, only to have it come WAILING at you at 100mph!

Then you can hear it much longer than you can actually "see" it go down the road! At his house, I could always tell where JK was when he was "test" driving the SC in the back of the neighborhood :D

YA. I drove it through that parking lot to maneuver the vehicles around...it was super responsive on the pedal.

Not sure if I'm going to get one or not...come to think of it, just got a check for 2700.00 today :hands:

Yea, it's crazy loud. I haven't had it on a dyno yet. I have a couple more things I want to get done then once Justin re-tunes it again in Sept I'll hit the dyno and see what it lays down. I still have some work to do on trying to get the IATs down some w/o having to revert to meth, but with these 100+ degrees days here, it's hard. I re-routed my rear wiper/washer tube to spray the heat x'er down and I'm going to mount a couple electric fans behind it to help with the heat soak.

I know your Hoe is deadened and shit but how is it inside with the screaming of the SC? Is it something that can be annoying at one point? I mean, How can anyone live with out one but like other things, they get annoying at one time or another. In my situation I find myself turning up the stereo to a higher level to cover up the whine.. If I had to choose between the two though, the stereo goes. :)

Yours sounds so much different than mine, I guess the single chamber Flowmaster makes that much of a difference in the sound. That is definitely not the s/c whine, maybe your intake, do you have sharp edges on it? Do you have a throttle body spacer?

Honestly I thought the same thing and I went back and heard your vid, the flowmaster is definitely loud and you know it's a flow when you hear it start up! Could it be more restrictive on the exhaust and causing more whine?

No sharp edges on the intake and no useless tb spacer. It's hard to tell where exactly the "scream" is coming from, but I know it's not like any s/c I've ever heard before.

Yea, it's in 7-8 lbs of boost the second I hit the throttle, no matter what rpm, then climbs to 10 lbs up around 4k. The instant boost from these roots is perfect for these heavy trucks.
I guess you're running a Procharger on the f-body?

It'd be a beast. AWD would help with traction, I'd assume, for us we could break em loose and start busting doughnuts.

With all other engine mods being equal, it wouldn't be hard at all for you to overtake a 5.3 SUV from holeshot all the up to top end. Your EXT is lighter, has the slightly more powerful 6.0, and awd to help launch quicker.

ha id consider. this is way off topic but i have to ask. i started putting my system in on my truck yesterday and i was going to run 2 speakers on the front panels like yours but i would have to cut out some of the metal on the door and their is the window motor right there so i cant.

what kinda speakers did you use that have small enough magnets to not have to cut it?

I'm using Infinity Kappas. You cant just trim the door panel. You have to build a new baffle on the door panel to ount the speakers to. It's a tight fit depthwise, so you can't use anything with a large mounting depth.

yea i seen where you had used foam or something to sit the speakers up towards the screening a little. i have a full ppi system and i was going to try and run two 6.5s in there but they are just way to big and the second one would def cause some problems so i was just going to ask how you did it.

my dad owns a shop and he was telling me its not possible and i showed him yours and we really just wanted to know what you used.

I formed a piece of 1/8" ABS as the baffle, but you have to reinforce it with braces to prevent them from flexing and loosing mid bass response.

Right now just a stock 4l60e with vette servo. The tranny is the next upgrade though. Fully built 650hp capable 4l60e hopefully by next month.

how much power are you running right now? alot more then ill have right away im guessing.. if you have lasted for a little while with a charger, ill be fine with the stock 6.0 for a while with a shift kit and servo and a cooler..

Haven't dyno'ed yet. Mustang Dyno charts on a 2000 5.3L show about 131hp/127tq gain at the wheels with the stock pulley (~5 psi) on the Magna tune. I'm running a smaller pulley with about 9.5-10 psi, intake, exhaust, and BB tune.
You should be fine for a little while with your stock 6.0 and trans.
