Im looking for some headers to finish off my exhaust system. Any suggestions? Have a flowmaster Cat-bat on right now, but I can tell it still doesnt breathe right, can hear the back pressure in it when I let up off the gas doing 70 mph. Should I get something else?

Someone correct me if i am wrong...but aren't you better off with a set of Long Tube headers, or Mid tubes?? Shorties don't do a whole lot other than change the sound and look cool. Stainless Steel Werks makes some, so does Pacesetter not sure about either ones quality.

Shorties are pretty close to stock, which is why I went with LTs.

What makes the difference between LT Headers and BBK's Shorty headers?

BBK is shorties, not much gain over stock, LT is long tubes, or full length, more power and torque.

As far as LT Headers go what would you recommend that would fit a 2001 Tahoe? Also, what about the exhaust from the headers back? All custom or is there a kit sold to bolt onto LT's?

see link above, LPP headers and you can order the ORY (off road Y pipe) that comes from headers and connects to the stock pipe. $500 for the whole kit in stainless.

Are these smog legal? I have a set of shorties but thinking about grabbing a set of LT's. also, for JennaBear, will I need a retune with the change of headers?

Im always a step behind... I am hoping to get the LT's and the Cam done at the same time, and if my tax return is nice I might try to get a new Torque Converter

Im pretty positive here in AZ your gonna be fine with the LT's as far as smog goes, as long as you have the Cats in place.

Also, if I'm not mistaken, your going to want a re-tune after you install the LT's.

Go with the pacesetter headers and the pacesetter ory pipe. Everything fits perfect on my 02 tahoe. Headers were under 300 and ory was 250ish I think.

i think the collector on the LPP's look nicer IMO... plus i have heard some shitty stories about pacesetters back in my import days... but i have heard a lot of GM folks runnin pacesetters without and issues at all

No plans, the last one feel through. Justin is currently booked up through October for meets. If anyone wants to be an organizer and put one together for AZ, no problem, just shoot me an email for the info!

We should start getting one ready Ty. I know a couple of guys that might be interested. Gonna talk to them this week and see if I can get something going here. I'd rather have it retuned by Justin himself and in person. I urge all AZ members to jump right on in and let's get something set up..

I am certainly down to get 10 people in... i would like to meet justin and watch him do what he do... but i havent any need for a re-tune yet, not till the cam and headers go in, which wont be till early 2010.

Either way, i will ask around, talk to a few Chevy guys i know. Jenna - Justin tunes pretty much all gas motor chevy trucks from the late 90's and newer right?
