I've finally hunted down this rattle, and it's coming from the headrests. It doesn't happen all the time, but if the terrain is at all bumpy, then the rattle is very pronounced. I'm definately the kind of person that HAS to have it SILENT (other than music or something) when driving. These rattles have been driving me bananas and I'm wondering if anyone has experienced this, and/or knows how to fix it.
When I had the truck at the dealer for the chrome door recall, I asked them to take a look at it, and I was even willing to pay the $95. The headrests are sewn and I don't even know if it's possible to get to the inside without cutting. The dealer was unsuccessful in any kind of fix, and recommended replacement of both, for $400!
I've tried wedging a folded up piece of paper underneath the headrests, but it just lifsts them slightly, not acting as a wedge/shim. They are not loose in the since that they slide up and down the poles, but the actual headrest part "wiggles", almost like a front to back motion, for a tilting headrest. I hope this is enough info to describe whats driving me crazy! HELP!

Truck is an 07 Denali XL

Mine rattle only when they are in the up position, almost like the chrome post they it on are too skinny for the holes that put them into the upper part of the seat.
So I just leave them all the way down and they don't rattle anymore.

the headrests are loose inside (I know what you're talking about from another car) no fix unless you want to take apart the stiching ..... sorry bro just turn up the sound ;o)

Try wrapping something around the posts (ie. electric tape, foam, etc?) to make them thicker, Then jam them back in.
