Hello All,

I just got a new to me 2008 Tahoe LTZ. The drivers seat is soooo annoying!!!

When I turn the car off, lock the doors, and then come back and unlock the doors....my mirrors move out of my programmed setting. Also, my seat moves all the way forward all on its own. This happens EVERY TIME I unlock the doors.

I have to hit my seat program button just to get it back every time I want to drive my tahoe.

I have tried reprogramming my seat memory, and turning the easy exit function on and off....nothing works!

Can someone please help me out with these stupid seats!?

Seems as though you have something shorted out or wrong in the wiring. Dealer would be your best bet, unfortunately.

Check the DIC. I believe there is an ingress/egress (exit assist) option.

Where are the seats/mirrors positioned in Memory 2 saved? I wonder if your using the key fob that is set to pick up position 2 and it thinks you are driver 2 so it resets to that. Each fob can be set to memorisze its own setting (1 or 2).

Try setting the memory 1 and memory 2 to the same spot and see if that helps. If it does, then just use memory 2 as your preferred spot or use the other key fob.

Woah woah....wait a minute...haha...I do have two key fobs...and I just got the Tahoe. So, inevitably I have been picking up whatever key fob was closest to me.

Are you saying the seat memory also saves to whatever key fob you are using?

Now that I think about it, the issue has gone away since I have put my key fob with all my "permanent keys" and put my second key fob (that I dont use) in the cabinet.

I am not sure exactly, but I think that is why they are marked 1 and 2 on the fobs.
