Well I finally got me a Tahoe after months of looking and I was wondering if anybody had a write on how to install the outside door handles on the 07+ Tahoes? I've got a set of colormatched door handles coming and was just trying to get ahead of the game. Thanks for looking!

Thanks,
DwDrummer

Yeah -- We don't really want to see another truck pic... We just want proof that you got one! ;)

Best of luck with it!

I would bet it's similar to my 06.....get the door panel off, make sure the window is all the way up.......there might be one fastener that is accessed through the side of the door (black plug?).

If it's like the 06 it's going to be tight up in there, probably 3 or 4 nuts holdng them on.

Good luck!

I was just hoping somebody had a write so I know exactly which bolts to take off etc etc.

I did it when i installed my speakers. its really easy.
Just pop off the door panels on the inside as if you were going to change out speakers and you can see the bolts attaching the handles. You unscrew the old ones and screw the new ones in and your done.

Yea... like Nick said it isn't to hard. The hardest part is probably figuring how to get the door panel off. Once you figure out the first one, the rest are cake. I did mine, but its been so long, that I forget exactly where all the bolts/screws that hold the panel are located.

I think the only one that stumped me was the one behind the part that you pull on... but other than that the rest are in common places.

Thanks for all the replies, I just wished I had a write up before I go pulling on the door panel and end up breaking tabs because I for a hidden screw or bolt.

I did mine but it was around Christmas so I can not remember for sure. Did you get GM handles? If you did they come with instructions with pictures. If not I have my instructions at work if you PM me a fax number I will send them to you.

I have faxed him the instructions that were included with my handle when I got them from the dealer. If someone here can scan them and put them on the site let us know and we will get them to you.
