I plan to have some pics soon. Still waiting on enough funds for new Torsion Keys and a Set of 33 Inch Nitto-Grappler tires. I might even try to raise the rear some more.

Thanks much for the compliment. Yep, Mojave's, I took the center caps off for my trip out West last month (didnt want to lose them on a trail) and liked the look enough to keep them off. Bowtie, your rig pretty much pegs the bad-ass meter by the way.
C'mon people, there's GOTTA be more lifted rigs on the board here....post up!

Money talks, bullshit walks.. This cat came up one day when I was washing it and asked if it was for sale, I said no. He asked if I was to sell it how much would I take for it. I blurted out 15k. He asked again, if someone showed me 15k cash would I consider, my response was probably. He leaves and 1/2 hr later he shows up with 15k in cash. Had to man up and let it go.. Oh well, had no more room to keep it safe... I told the dude the only condition from me was for him to take it far, far away where I would never see it again, we shook hands, I took the $$$ and ran...

Their all sheeple falling for the "your only cool if your truck is lowered, you have a gold tooth, and your rims are more expensive than your house" scene. When really if you want to ride low you should just buy a car. :emotions122::emotions122::emotions122:

I bought the truck new in '96. It is a true Z71 with the LT Package. The truck has 11" of lift. The front end has a 6" Procomp lift w/keys. This gives it 8" of suspension lift up front. In the back it has Procomp 4" springs w/4" blocks for a total of 8" in the rear. I had to have a custom driveshaft built for the rear. The front shaft was long enough. I also have a 3" body lift with the bumpers and nerf bars set to the proper position. This gives it a total of 11" of lift. I have a stainless steel Manik grill guard. The tires are 35" Pro comp Extreme AT's. I have also added a AEM air filter and dual exhaust. I had a heavy duty transmission built with a large transmission cooler. My next project is to get bigger tires. I want some 40's if they will clear, if not 38's. The rims I have are 16 x 8, so I will need new rims for the bigger tires, some 16 x 10's. After that some gears and a light bar full of lights on top. I still need to paint the under carriage, fender wells and frame to detail it out.

i had a 97 tahoe that i cant find a pic of. it was nice but i ran into the back of another lifted truck and i had a hellashious heavy duty brush guard and when i hit him the brush guard hardly bent it just pushed my whole front end about 2 feet back... air bags never showed up. the guy i hit was an extended cab on swompers and it threw his truck across the road into the ditch. his cd player came out of the dash and hit the back seat cause i hit him so hard. i kicked the door open and walked away. talk about feeling bullet proof haha. thanks to the good lord i can sit here and type this message today.

It was an 07 classic.. my dude bought it new and then i bought it out of his bankruptcy.. all jl highs.. pioneer avic something headunit..
the lift kit was.. mostly Rough Country.. it was an 6inch lift originally and we added ford keys.. and the rear was a 2 inch spring and a 4 inch block
and a 3 inch body lift.. so it was 10.5/9 and it sat perfectly level.. i HATE that reverse rake these people are doing.

Yea 2 things that made it really stand out to me was that it was that rare(ish) blue (mystic silver) and that it was a short bed crew.. most the people here that i see with crews have the long bed....
I broke it cause i had rear gears and no front gears.. and it was fine till it hit bottom.. lol.. all it did was shear the front left cv shaft.. i pulled it at the mud hole put it back together and drove it home.. and when i dropped it off to get it replaced the dude at the shop offered me every dime i had in it and payoff for it minus about $400.. so i dove on it.. just seemed like a good chance to move on and try something different..

Well... i want supposed to even get in the mud... im just .. well.. me.. lol.. and i was doing sick in 2wd but once i got in the soup it put it in 4 and it was doing good.. but as soon as the front hit bottom it broke the front left cv.. and i just stopped there and let it get towed back out.. put it in 2wd and limped it back to the spot where i could pull it down.. it was fine.. didnt do ANYTHING but break the cv at the bottom knuckle

After seeing all of the badass rigs on here, the Yuke pales in comparison...but for the sake of the thread, here's my bish:
Ford keys front, 1.5" spacers rear, 285 75 Nittos. The stock shocks in the front finally just took a shit after almost a year of running the lift. The front rubs like a sonofabitch at full lock backing up now. I'll be picking up some Bilstien 5100s here soon hopefully...

whats up with it still having the front rake angle to it? I thought the keys would fix that up.

I didn't want to crank the bolts too far without putting new shocks in first, for fear of blowing the stock ones out...but I didn't have the funds to buy the Bilstiens until now, and what do you know, the stockers still blew out lol.
I'll crank it more in a few weeks when I buy the 5100s and get em slapped on.

This thread made me want to lift mine. I was trying to avoid it being the family vehicle but my wife the other day agreed. I won't be able to go too aggressive but at least she's in for it. I'm thinking I'll try to fit close to a 33" tire and go with something between 16-18" wheels.

Thanks Southbar. I was actually looking at pics of your Tahoe earlier thinking that your stance would probably be something I could get away with. I wanted to lift this thing from the beginning but did considering lowering just for the simplicity of it since it came with the 22's when I bought it. The more I thought about it though the more I want to lift it. So when I have the cash flow to do it I'll find someone to buy my wheels/tires and start working towards getting this done. I just wish I could do it now!

Not exactly, but I bottomed both bolts out and then reversed them 3/4's of a turn. I was able to tighten them maybe five full turns? Mine originally sat very low in the front, and I got probably close to three inches of lift.
The 295's will look great on there, post pics once you get them mounted.

^^^ agreed, thats a different guard for sure with nice design, but to me dosent look very practical, the tubing dosent look thick enough to stop anything bigger than a small deer or something, and even then, the smaller deer would go right thru the large gaps in the guard. Im eyeballing that ARB bullbar for my Yukon, but here in AUS it will cost me over 2grand....shitty but it makes hitting an animal at speed a much safer evolution.
