Broken Truck

Need a bit of advice guys.
My black burb has seen better days. I need to eliminate swirls marks, chips, bugs, tar......the works.
What are some good products for doing all this on a black car.
My silver Tahoe still looks real nice and it is a 98...but this black paint scares me......it shows everything and I worried I could make it worse.
Any thoughts?

Been looking around. I'm gonna give the turtle wax BLACK BOX a try.
I sed that Meguiar's quick spray on wax on the Hoe, the other day. That stuff beaded up afterwards real well and took away all the water spots. Worked well so far...

Check out www.poorboysworld.com I use their polishes and waxes religiously on dark vehicals and have had nothing but outstanding results. If your looking to remove swirls and things like that, I would definatly recommend them.

Black is a challenge. I'm never happy even when I work my A$$ off.
And no, I doubt you can make it worse...
Here's what I do:
Wash with Dawn to remove all old wax.
Claybar the whole vehicle.
Porter Cable 7424 Orbital Buffer with Zaino Z-PC (stands for Paint Cleaner)
Buff-Off
Apply Zaino All-In-One (Z-AIO)
Apply one of Zaino's finish polymers (Z-5 or Z-8 or Z-CS)
I'm not a Zaino junkie. It's just what I use.

+1 ......... without the Zaino products. Zaino is a proprietary blend and will not work well should you ever want to apply a different wax or sealant. If you go with Zaino then be sure you aren't going to want to use anything else as you'll have to strip the Zaino before applying anything else.
Black is especially unforgiving.

I took the advice of the sticky on this forum and bought a Porter Cable polisher. I went through all of the XMT products to remove swirls on my black paint and it turned out great. All of the swirls and small blemishes are gone. Just be aware it can take days to do all the steps on your whole car.

I pulled the trigger and ordered a PC 2474XP kit for 159. Comes with the pads, backing disc, counter-weight, and tool. I can't wait to put this thing to my truck after my modest mods are done. Will be practice on my 97 Accord first tho!! LOL
