I have a 08 Tahoe with 28" U2's and was wandering what drop kit i could go with to get it lower? Would a 2/3 be too low or not? Thanks.

Larry ive done a few on 28s i need to know what tire size your running and offset of wheels. Do the wheels tuck or stick out of fenderwells?

295 25 28 with the belltech drop struts and rear 3 inch springs with shock extenders will just barly make it. Thats what i would go with and have done before. I just need your tire size.

The tires are 295/25/28, im not sure on the offset, but they don't stick out they are pretty much even with the fender wells from what i can tell, do you have any pictures of one with 28's and the drop?

Just went and looked on the backside of the wheels, not really sure if im looking at the right number but it looks like they might be a 25 offset.

Your most likely not going to be able to drop it unelss you run some complete rubberband tires like Norcal said. And if you run those, get ready because the U2s may bend.

Drop the rear 2" to level it with the front and call it a quit.
I was rubbing pretty good with a 2" drop, 26s with a 305/20/26 tire and a +35 offset.
Don't attempt dropping it at all, more than 1" in the front will not work in any way w/o grinding more stuff than I had to with the 3" front drop (I removed, bent, grinded, trimmed and it still rubs)

cool post up some pics when you get it all done, i need to lower mine i just dont know which kit/ and amount to go with. I am thinking about the Eibach 2/3 drop with coils on all four corners? I have always heard Eibach stuff rides good. I want a good ride quality.

lol i used to sell eibach there is a reason i dont anymore. for 07 up trucks the belltech rear set up rides great and being that its adjustable makes it even better.

right now hes at 35.5 inches from ground to fenderlip in rear and looking to do the same in front.

belltech front coils also area adjustable which gets rid of the lean many of these trucks have. I put the same kit on the yukon here last week cept he went 3 inches in front on 24s. There are pics of that also and hes very happy with the ride.
