Who has this in their Tahoe? I have heard the wood grain wears pretty bad.....true? Has anybody swapped this specific piece? I'm thinking about swapping the black tray with cup holders for this......

Not sure what you mean by "wears" -- it's just plastic. But, it does pick up scratches relatively easily. I just keep it Pledged, and try not to put things on top of it that I know will scratch it.

As for space and usefulness, it doesn't have much of either. LOL But it looks great to me, and obviously goes with the other "wood" inside. If you have wood, but not this piece, it'll be a welcomed addition, I think.

Thanks for your help guys. I went to the dealer and they could locate the part number to order it. Do any of you have it by chance? Thanks!

Make gmpartsdirect.com your friend! Locate the part by going to the "catalog" and viewing the diagrams, then enter the part in your cart, go through the check out steps, and you'll get a part number for the item the step PRIOR to checking out (you do NOT need to buy the item).

I looked for it and couldn't find the specific part. I could see the center console and the pieces but no lid, cover, bezel etc. Any ideas?

That came in my Denali. I hated it. I need a place to throw the phone, etc. I found a standard center unit and cup hold on eBay and love it. It looks very nice, but it's not very functional.

Gotta agree with MrB. Had the same center in my 07 Lade. Looks nice but scratches really easy. If it's the same piece, the top is an ashtray and the bottom is a two cup cupholder. Not real functional, especially if you're a non-smoker :) My new Tahoe has an open bin in the center, much more usable but not as classy looking.

I'm thinking about sending the standard one I put in to this place to have wood grain applied that matches the rest of the Denali. Then I'll have the funcitonality, and the looks.

I know there is a kit with a woodgrain overlay meant for the funtional cupholers to improve the look!

I don't know the p/n, but you see them on eBay all the time. You should be able to pick one up there pretty cheap.

Is this it? I am looking for this part as well...wife says she has to have it. LOL.

20811675 is the part number I came up with. Does it come with the cup holder and "ashtray" sections?

anyone had a problem with the cup holder door? the door stopped "automatically" coming open on my 09 denali when you press the button. does the center section easily come out. i was going to see if maybe a spring came off or something before taking it to the dealership.

Just pull up, the assembly is only held on by clips.

The sides and rear are held in by two clips each.
The front portion has two protrusions that slide into position.
Pull up on the rear of the tray and work your way around.

Have this problem with the smaller door on mine and took it out yesterday to have a look. The plastic hinges broke on both sides. It is not a great (or even good) design; the attach points for the door are very weak plastic with coarse thread screws run through them. I'm going to press to get this replaced as a warranty item.

Mine is a little worn and was like that when I bought it though.

Not real sure what the previous owner did to scratch it up.

I had a buddy that had a 09 Sierra and he hated the thing. So he swapped this one for my black one and a 12 pack. Think I came out ahead on that deal. Thanks! LOL

are you able to fit a pack of cigs in the compartment and close the lid?

Yes, sideways cause there's a gap inside between the cup-holders.
