Hey guys, I am feeling the need to make my truck a bit louder. I want something that sounds fairly deep but not overly loud. Im really not going to be picky about the sound honestly.

Can some one tell me the exact Id/ Od and crap like that i need to have a nice easy replacement. Im going to try and do it myself so.. Easier the better.

Or if anyone could recommend some links , I would really appreciate it. I dont want to change anything else, Just the muffler

Also, Not sure if it matters but i have a 2 door

Would this work? My buddy has it on his 89 chevy pickup and it sounds nice.

Or would i be better off with a glasspack?

Thank you, But i dont know how to install any of these. Which sucks pretty bad. What do you think a cheap shop would charge to put one on?

Stay away from Blowmaster it hinders performance from HP to MPG's...

Just save your money for a cat-back or full exhuast. Keep an eye on CL people part there stuff out all the time.

Want loud? Straight pipes. Everyone has their opinions on mufflers. I am a borla and SLP guy. I always liked Borla's lazy s design, sounds great.

I like my Magnaflow duals. It's not terribly loud but it does have a nice little rumble to it. I got it done for $250 last year.

SI = Single In
DI = Double In
SO = Single Out
DO = Double Out

If you want something deep go with a Magnaflow. Don't know what you consider loud but a 5" x 11" muffler should do. Think the Vortecs are 2.5" and 3" out.

mine was converted to 3 in and of course 3 out...... that way it lessened the restriction

did i spell that right?

Or just get a Magnaflow because they are not chambered like the Flowmasters and also have a lifetime warranty against rust unlike flowmaster..

Spintech all the way :rocking: but I have magnaflow on my Camaro with true duals and like that too

When I do the exhaust on my tahoe I plan on getting a 3" in/3" out spintech sportsman muffler and then I'll probably get the dynomax tailpipe so I don't have to build my own. But in front of the spintech muffler I'll have pacesetter long tubes and a custom highflow catted 3" y pipe :D
