Interior Cleaning?

Hello to all the fellow GMC/Chevy owners. I am new to GMC's but i purchased my first GMC Yukon on saturday and I am really excited about it! The previous owner was a younger guy that works for the dealership that i purchased the vehichle from. It seems he took decent care of it but not quite up to my standards. I have found a few spots on the interior that desperately need to be cleaned up. The dealership said they would do it for me but honestly they didnt really do what i thought they would. The spots that i would like cleaned are up on the windshield channel and are cloth of some kind it would seem. The interior is a deep tan and I was wondering if anyone recommends anything i could attempt to clean these spots with and make sure they come out. If not i can have it steam cleaned maybe if that would not damage it. I did have the dealership " chemically seal" the interior already so im wondering if i can even get these spots out. They are not bad but it looks like something was spilled or something and on the passenger side it looks like someone maybe had something like chocholate perhaps on their hands or something like that and touched the area and left stains. Does anyone have any suggestions whatsoever on how to clean these spots or even the interior in general to bring back that natural and original luster of this beautiful vehicle!!!

Mothers Interior Carpet cleaner works really well...when it doubt, a professional steam clean will help. If it's so bad that doesn't help, hate to say it, a new carpet kit :(

If it is really bothering you, I would just pay for a professional interior detail. Since it is brand new to you, it would be nice for you to not have anything bugging you on the truck. You may even be able to go to a detail shop, tell them the spots you are concerned about and see if they can give you a deal to just take care of those spots. If I were you, I would want my new truck to feel perfect to me, so personally I tyhink it would be worth it to just pay to have it look perfect for you.

try simple green crystal. It works wonders especially on the headliner

Just be very careful not to over saturate the headliner. You can ruin the glue that hold up the cloth

You really don't want to get the headliner very wet and you don't want to rub it with a cotton cloth. I wouldn't apply any liquid of any sort directly to it at all. If you rub or scrub the headliner you're asking for trouble - bubbles, drooping/sagging, pilling, discoloration etc. And you're also pushing the dirt deeper into what is a VERY porous material.

Ideally if its something like dirt you should vacuum it first, then lightly dry brush it, then proceed to progressively "wetter" methods until its clean. You can try the dry foam upholstery cleaner and a medium stiffness fine bristle brush (like a new shoe shine brush), and brush gently after applying a small amount of the foam cleaner. If that doesn't work, use a microfiber cloth lightly misted, not sprayed (you're not cleaning the windshield), with 303 or APC and brush gently with the "grain" of the fabric.
