Anyone in Oregon or Washington interested in a BB tune?

I haven't talked with Black Bear yet but was testing the waters on how many others in Oregon might be interested in getting Justin out here and getting their trucks tuned, I know I am about ready and possibly 3 others that I work with. Lets see who's interested, I hear that we need 10+ people for him to come out!!

Someone on gmfs was trying to gauge interest on this as well. I think he was in Portland? If you want to hop back on the boat and be an organizer as well, I have no problem with that.

Do you guys live close by? Shoot Justin an email (justin@blackbearperformance.com) if you are interested in doing this. I don't see a problem if he is going to do some logs for you, then you meet up again for him to do the crank relearn for you.

I don't think it would be fair if he were to send the cable to you since there is a waitlist.

It isn't a problem if you can meet up with him and have him log your truck. Then you would just have to meet up with him again to perform the crank relearn once you have the tuned PCM sent to you. With there being a deposit on the cable and such, it would get very confusing having it sent out via second party. Plus I am sure he wouldn't want to be held liable on that deposit!

I never intended him to ship me the cable, my full intentions were to meet up with him if he was withing close driving distance if he had the cable (which I found out that he isn't doing a cable tune anyways, just a regular tune). He was a fellow Oregonian as am I, thought be might live close enough by to meet up in person and share the opportunity since I can't seem to find enought fellas from around here for justin to meet up and tune the rigs in person!
No cable tune = no issues now!

Hey just curious to see if you or any other guys down by portland have ever been to AUTO REPAIR SPECIALTIES, I see they have a dynojet at their facitlity in Gresham and or Sandy also. I may take a run down there and get a few runs in sometime in the near future. If you've heard or them etc I'd like to know any good/bad info on them.

I just may do that! I know there are several people in and around the portland area that do dyno testings... just no websites to check them out in. Im sorta close to a chasis dyno up here in North dakota but im going back home soon and don't have the time to set it up and get some runs..:ehcapt: Say Jenna, Have you and Justin thought about having your own dyno testing?

We do have access to a dyno but it is out in CA, he holds his So Cal meets at that shop and offers dyno tuning/testing. He also teaches EFILive on a dyno at various shops.

There are some things in the works for us to have dyno facilities on site though. But that is not happening for a bit...

Well, the date for the meet is going to be June 18-20th, we just need a place to meet that is close to the Sea-Tac airport in Washington to get the tuning done, does anyone know of good location to make this happen, probably close to I-5? If so, could you please let me know!! As soon as we know of a good place and BB approves of it, we can get an official BlackBear thread to keep track of the progress and deposits!

I'm still finding more guys and still have a few others on the fence as of today, might actually have enough here soon to have a separate Oregon and Washington meet!! Keep asking around guys, would need another 4 people per state to make the separate meets happen as it sits now. I will be a swing vote for whatever state needed a last person to make it happen (I would go to both meets if that happened anyways!!:) )
If an Oregon meet would happen, it will take place at the IKEA parking lot just down the street from PDX, but as it sits now the combined meet will take place up by Sea-Tac!!
