I need a little help please? 98 2 door tahoe w/bucket seats
I have a new to me jump seat and am going to remove the pass side arm rest to
allow for ease of letting the back of the jump seat up and down.
What is the proper way to remove it without damaging the rest
of the seat backrest?
Also, what model has the center console that touches the lower dash?
Sorry for the silly questions but thanks for your advice and help.

unclip the seat cover at the base of the seat and stick your hand up to the pivot point of the arm rest ,there is a spring clip that you have to remove and the arm rest will pull out. The escalade and denali in 99-00 have this console which fits nicely in my 2 door

I just pulled the leather back where the armrest goes into the seat. You'll see the clip. Use some needle nose and pull out the clip. If you plan on putting the armrest back in at any time put the clip back where it was and when you slide the armrest back in itll lock in.
That's how it was on my 96 I just did 5 minutes ago

I would love to have one too. At junkyards, they're a needle in the haystack. You can find them on ebay but they're not cheap.

Any pics? I need to fab something up to put a screen and some other stuff there too. Can't seem to find anything that's exactly what I'm looking for. I really would like it to be just like the one's in the newer model trucks but they don't match up to our dash :emotions122:

I need to replace my drivers armrest on my 99 Yukon, I think I'll steal a grey cloth one to replace the cracked and broken leather one in there now.
