Transmission Oil? and Cooler?

Planning to change the transmission gasket/filter. Couple of questions:

1. What type of Oil can I use? I want to switch over to Royal Purple. But do I use their ATF fluid? or does the transmission require something specific.

2. Does the truck already have an transmission cooler? If so are the lines connected to the radiator? I want to install an aftermarket cooler.
