Hey guys for some time now my tahoe has had a weird sway problem. Anytime i hit a bump or dip the whole truck will sway side to side almost like my rear axle is loose. It did this before i put the lift on it. I know i need shocks but could that be causing my problem?

i'd also say its the shocks. if your shocks are really old, they'll start losing their ability to compress or rebound, so rather than absorbing shock, they'll begin to oscillate with fluctuations in the road. i'd say, replace your shocks and take it from there. if it is still happening, check other parts of your suspension setup (bushings, sways bars, leaves, etc)

sounds like you may not even have sway bars

That'd make for an interesting ride!

No the hoe has front and rear sway bars. I guess once i get some money ill go invest in some new shocks.

I had just put my chrome set of 22s on mine and thought it was the rims/tires but took them off and it still did it. Ended up being the shocks!
