Swapping Out 60/40 Bench For Captains in 2007 Tahoe LS

Hey All - Just joined today, but have been reading posts for a while now. Seems like a knowledgable group here and I look forward chatting with you all.

QUESTION: I have a 2007 Tahoe LS and I wanted to swap out the 60/40 bench for some captain/bucket seats (and eventually put the second row console in as well). Is this possible? Is it a fairly clean/easy swap?

Definitely, I did the same thing, very easy process. You just remove the panel that covers the bolts by pulling up on it, then remove the bolts, and the seats come right out. The captain chairs fit right into place, no modifications needed, and put the bolts back on.

Just be sure you buy/trade for the trim covers for the captain chairs as well as they use a different part than the bench does. The bench's cover is all one piece while the captain chairs have 2 separate covers.

Thanks! Do you have any idea what is the best way to find seats? There's nothing on e-bay (I check almost daily) and hunting them down at a salvage yard just seems like alot of work. Any recommendations? How'd you get yours?

I traded with BC Lightning, a member here. The shipping was around $400 though! But to me it was worth it, I love my captains. Very nice mod. Just ask around and you'll probably find someone in your area with the right seats for you.

What color trim are your seats? If it's an LS I assume they're cloth....? Bummer....

I have the titanium leather captains chairs in my '07 and really want to get the bench seat. Let me know if you have the leather and what color!

2ELO: Yes, unfortunately they are cloth. I'm looking to upgrade my interior to leather. I'm considering re-upholstering, but would prefer to just swap for OEM leather. If you are able to get your bench (without trading your buckets of course), I'm sure we could work something out. Do you want to trade contact info?
