View Full Version : Passenger side higher than drivers side
I recently had my Tahoe lowered with the Belltech 2/3 Kit and noticed that my Front Passenger side is close to a 1/2'' higher than my Front Drivers side. Has anyone else noticed this with the McGaughys kit? And is there a quick fix?The more I look at it everyday the more and more it bothers me. Thanks!

This issue is really starting to get weird because I did not have this issue with my Pedders spring kit, neither did I have it before I installed my spindles. Now I am not sure if I have it now after the 2" drop spindle install, but if I do then it is probably due to the spindles. Normally, most of these GM SUVs tend to have that Chevy lean.
To try a fix, I say you remove all the isolators/spacers that may be on the passenger side rear coil, and see if that fixes the issue by making that drives side front end come up a little after the passenger side opposite diaginal corner comes down a bit.
haha how did I know you'd be the one with the answer!? :hands: Ill try that, thanks bro!

Haha I guess im the main help around the 07 section thats why, if it works let me know so I can do it to mine as well, as of now Im pretty sure the truck is even at 33.8" on a;; four corners.

I have also heard its because the gas tank is on the right side. 26 gallons of gas weighs alot. I suppose it could cause a lean as well. Hopefully you get it worked out

Yeah 26 gallons of gas probably weighs in around 170Lbs, but the Lean happens even when the truck is empty. I think it haas todo with the weight of that gas making the drivers side sag, also the constant weight of the driver probably factors in.

true, didnt know it was when empty too. I dont have the problem. But i could see it making a sag. The battery is on that side too right? Must be a more weight on that side thing

In my truck the battery is on the passenger side, tank is on the drivers, may be different for other year models though.
I think the tank is most likely the main cause, too bad there is nothing that can be done about it.

Yeah short of getting bags or air ride or similar, I dont thing there is much at all to do about it
I like how the front driver side sits, it sits just perfect fender to tire height (for my taste). I just wish the other side sat the same. :(

actually, 26 gallons would weight over 200lbs. its def enough to induce that GM lean
