A/C Button Light Comes OFF and blinks.

I have a 2000 Yukon SLT, It has the auto climate system.
When you turn on the A/C it works find, a/c light comes on and everything.
After 10min or so, the A/C light comes off, I press the button on again and
the A/C light blinks On and Off, and cuts off. The air stops coming out cold.
It does this even if it is on manual mode full blast air and with the recirculation.

Anybody else has this problem??
Is the A/C compressor starting lock up or what??
Any comments or feedback would really appreciated. thanks

That's what I am going to do,
I will probably add one can of freon.

Get yourself the can with the gauge, you dont want to add too much.

Well now the a/c is not working at all. It just blinks every time i turn it ON.
