OK...my water pump is leaking...BAD, I'm going to replace it.

I ordered Hypertech Underdrive Pullies.
I also want to do a smaller ALT Pulley. Where?

Also...I think I wanna do a Electric Pump...possible wit the serpentine belt app in our car. Usually See the Electric Pump on OLD Skool Motors

Are our TIMING chains have plastic pieces in it? I'm S/C in the summer and was wondering if stock timing chain will hold? Do they sell a Double roller for out application?

If I can't get the belt info what is the best method to try and find a belt that fits without running to the store 50x?

Any issues? I wish I could do Efans...but I can;t find a kit in my price range.

Measure how long you need it with a piece of wire or string and take that into the parts store ... I did this when I was looking for belts for my Camaro. They were able to get me what I needed this way ...

for the timing chain, i would just make the switch to a gear set up, yeah it will be a bit louder but its worth it and there is so much less worry about it snapping.

for the water pump, i would say go to jegs and they have some good electric water pumps and e fans.

Not sure where I got this, but I didn't think gear setups would work with the vortec timing chain cover and sensors. Is this information incorrect?

haha yea sorry bro, i was looking for fans for Haks for a while then i just stopped looking for them. so many ppl are just interested in the Mark7 or 8 whatever the fuck car it is fans.

ATOMIC: This is what I came across a Fabrication Forum...they arent as easy as most people thing read a couple of lines in.

Unfortunately I don't have the template anymore, that was 5 years ago. It was easy enough to do though, because all it involves is a large flat piece that folds over the top. If I remember correctly there were no bends needed from the bottom all the way to the top. You'll want to fill in the sides, either with metal or you can rivet a 3/4 inch rubber water hose down each side to fill in the room on the sides. This sets the fans far enough back that you have good airflow across the entire radiator while still maintaining extra room up front. The fans bolt in from the radiator side, and the fans stick out on the engine side. You'll need a ring around the fan holes to force the fans to draw air through the radiator, and ideally the fan blades will be enclosed all the way around with a shroud. Airflow around a spinning fan wants to form a donut around the fan blades with the air pushed back being sucked into the vacuum created by the fan's air movement, because the air is closest to the newly formed vacuum and is already in motion. The shroud around the blades will prevent this air from being able to get in front of the fan blades, disrupting the donut effect. Having the shroud sealed to the radiator all the way around will force the fan to only be able to get air through the radiator, and having it an inch or two from the radiator means the fans will be able to draw across the entire radiator. I wish I still had the pics of it, but they got lost somewhere.

So no Electric WP for her. Say wither 3,500 hrs of usage or 50,000. Say it really adds like 10-15 HP on the top end. I should buy 2! To replace the other one as soon as it goes. OEM W/P gives us warning well ahead of failure!

I ordered a OEM PUMP 54 shipped to my front door with a lifetime warranty. Today I just speed ordered a Single Roller Timing chain from Summit. I was prepared to pay $160 for a Cloyes but Summit has thier own brand made by CLYES for $100 LESSER WOOOHOOO!

Not sure about the covers but there is a knock sensor that may have to be addressed.

All Chevy small blocks have chains unless they were modified. You can run a belt but they are $$$ setups.

Yes your TBI has a chain behind the cover.

Do you have to drop the front of the oil pan to get that timing cover off?

Yeah...i ended up doing the WP not the Timing chain b/c It says on the timing chain cover. If removed please REPLACE. which I didn't have. So I just installed the WP cause this whole adding coolant everyday wasnt cool. Figure order nother gasket for buck and re-do it.

Swapping out the timing chain is not easy and alot of work...but good piece of mind. Have to removes the crank pulley etc etc etc
