I just got my HID headlights from TYC off eBay (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=400047090990&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWNX%3AIT&viewitem=)
I looked around a bunch and that was the place that kept coming up as a good place to go. I just installed them tonight and am happy with the lights, but the high beams (that come with the lights) look like shit. I have the 4-way light thing installed and when you put it on high, the highs are all yellow and the lows are nice and white.
Can I solve this with some Silver Star high beams or do I have to go buy an additional HID kit for my highs to achieve the "white" look I was going for?
I was just under the impression when I order HID headlights, I was getting all the way HID headlights.

high beams are always non-hid. even when you hit the high beams on units using the same bulb, the HID kit has an incandescent built in. you'd need a separate kit to do what you want. the silverstars arent that white.
there are lights, i cant think of the name, but RT has em in his high beams.. theyre non HID, but they may give you what you want.

you don't have a pic by any chance do you. I just want to see how "white" they are before buying. Thanks

No hids in this pics. Low beams are standard 9005 (just 5 dollar bulbs) and High is the HIR.
Also dont think the light on the sky is sun. It was about 11:30 at night. Thats just some wierd setting on my camara.

That looks good...I was thinking more of a pic of the actual light inside the housings. I went to the website and couldn't find any pictures of the actual light in the housings either.
I did stuble upon something quite nice though: http://www.sylvania.com/ConsumerProducts/AutomotiveLighting/LampReplacementGuide/AutoLRG-Results.htm[COLOR="Silver"]

I've got the same thing with the HID/incandescent. so far, i dont mind it. i'll prolly end up gettin another hid kit tho.
RT, are the 22 each, or for the pair.. cuz HIDs are 65 bucks... lol

Their 22 each. But They work just as well as HIDs, and are perfect for the highbeams since there is no warm up period.
