I picked up some Eagle One Chrome and Wire Cleaner because it was cheap and I thought I would try it not expecting much, but this stuff is awesome.

Over the winter I had a bunch of mineral streaks and brake dust that just wouldn't come off with good ol fashioned elbow grease. This took it right off.

What does it do to painted inserts or do you have to take them out before you spray?

i tried it last friday for the first time, the wheels where dirty, it had rained for like 3 days striaght, and i drive about 60 miles a day on the interstate, so they was dirty. I sprayed it on and let it sit for about 1 minute, and hosed them off with the water hose. It worked good for me, is that how you guys use it or do you all spray it then whipe it down with a rag or something then hose it off or what?

I use Mcquires Hot Rimz, but think I'm going to give this a try.

Pretty much the way I did mine, and mine had a lot of miles worth of dirt/mud/brake dust. Note that I have the stock Z71 aluminum wheels with BFG's though, and not any chrome rims. After the wheel cleaning, I still washed all the Hoe (even the wheels) and waxed it. It really cut down on a lot of the cleaning I was going to have to do to the wheels and tires.

watch out for that stuff though, if you dont rinse it all the way off it will make your chrome look messed up, happened to a friend of mine, its some strong stuff, but its not too great of an idea to put chemicals on the chrome wheels the best thing to use is soap and water, and to remove the water spots and small dirt areas after a was or do a wipe down, i use a spray wax on them and wipe them clean with CLEAN microfiber

I've been using Mothers chrome polish and so far so good. I'd like to get something that doesn't require me to remove the painted inserts on these wheels.
The best stuff to use though if you have a bad looking piece of chrome is still never dull.
IMO!!!
