View Full Version : Buckets to Bench HELP

Ok first let me tell you that I am new to this forum so hopefully I am posting the right area.

I am getting ready to buy a used yukon but I am having trouble finding one of the main options that I need 2nd row bench seats. All I am finding is buckets. So can they be changed from buckets to bench and if so where can you buy or trade those ? The dealerships tell me no, but I don't really believe that.

The Yukon I am looking at is loaded with ebony interior 2nd row buckets. I want 2nd row ebony bench.

If you change them do they work like they are supposed to??

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

They apparently did it. There are people who want to trade... put up a listing on craigslist or find someone local

tammie: is it an XL or reg length? I don't think the seats match up b/t the two. If you have an XL i'd be willing to trade.

Brian the one I am looking at is a Reg lenght Yukon not XL. I would love to consider a trade if it would work but I know nothing about it.

Tammie I just responded to the other thread you posted on but was wondering if you are anywhere near CT? I have an 08 Tahoe w/ the ebony bench, I'm assuming the setups are the same.......

I traded my captains with him for his bench. The shipping was high due to weight and size and multiple boxes, but it is a good alternative to buying from the dealer

Yes, very easy swap if you and the other person include all the pieces. That means the seats (which come off with the brackets installed), the bolts, and the floor carpet covers. The shipping is a little steep for the bench seat because UPS charged me $140 extra just to send the very lightweight but long floor cover....but I'm so glad BC and I traded! :Handshake:

At quick glance, I don't think they match up. Thats too bad, I'd love to trade....

The XL and regular size models can NOT interchange seats. The brackets are made different for each because of the longer wheelbase.
