What are you looking for? Do you want a remote start, two way pagers, etc...

I have a 5901 in my 2003 denali and an ultra start model 72 I think? in my RS and I have to say that I like the response of the 2 way in the ultra start. a lot of the time the screen on the viper does not show me the actual condition of my denali. it is reliable when it goes off but not when monitoring. I had the ultra start in both my old cars but decided to go with the viper when I got the denali so I knew which car I was controlling with which remote. Having two of the same remotes on one keyring is hard.

im not very knowledgeable about alarms and i have always wondered if there is anyway to add on to the stock "alarm" and remote start
for instance, can i add a proximity or air pressure style add on to the stock system?

My installer told meto just toss the OE fob in a drawer sonce the viper is used instead. I have had one problem where the factory alarm kept the key from turning but I just locked and unlocked the car with the key and that fixed it. YOu cant add on to the factory but my 5901 is nice.
