YUP! happened to me 2 times...took it to the dealer. Come to find out that the whole door lock had to be replaced and reprogrammed. They say its a common problem tha USUALLY occurs when some1 either unlocks their car by the key fob and tries to open the door handle at the exact same time which causes the door lock to jam and break. Or same situation except when the car is set to unlcok automatically and as soon as u put ur car into park it unlocks as u try to open the door at the exact same time...although we love our yukons and hoes and put all this money into them we cant forget they are still AMERICAN MADE, little things like that always happen to us....no big deal if u r under warranty though takes about an houre to replace and have ur car back.

I wanted to post in this section to get more exposure.

the original thread is here:

http://www.tahoeyukonforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=330

Has anyone had problems with the key fob not unlocking the driver door? (or any door)

It has been mentioned that it is a computer problem. Has anyone heard of this?

Thanks in advance!
Never happened to any of my personal vehicles, but we rented a Tahoe and a Silverado that both had this problem.

Thanks for the replies guys!

The only problem is that I have removed the lock cylinder and put a back door handle on the front so thieves cannot punch out the door lock....dont ask me why i know!

Do you think I should put the original door handle and lock cylinder back on and then take it to the dealer? Being a mechanical engineer, I dont see how the "mod" I did would effect the functionality.

Any more thoughts are greatly appreciated!
