    Lane assistant really bad

Not out to bash GMC, I love my 2021 Yukon. But based on my experience so far, some of these feature DO stop you from driving the way you intend. My un-commanded braking event was down right scary. I don't want the rig braking without my consent - but it did with no warning!. Unless the car...

    Lane assistant really bad

I have a 2021 Yukon Denali and have turned off lane assist as it's more annoying (fighting me when I pass on a 2 lane road) than useful and.... I suspect it was involved in an un-commanded braking action at 65mph while towing on a busy 2 lane road that scared the heck out of me and frankly, I...

    Brake Pad Monitor

I got new front pads/calipers installed on my f2021 Yukon Denali at my local auto shop but the DIC didn't update. Turns out that after market brake sensor replacements have to be programed so the computer / DIC will see the brake %. The factory computer doesn't automatically communicate with...

Should I be hesitant to buy a 2023 Yukon Denali Ultimate?

I bought a used 2021 Yukon Denali (middle level package) last Aug w/49,000 miles. So far, 9 months and 5,000miles everything works perfectly - really nice ride :) So I'd vote yes if you like the price!

Low Battery, Engine wouldn't turn over, DIC goes crazy, is this normal?

Purchased used 2021 Yukon Denali w/6.2L last Aug and I've know it pulls down the battery but... after 5 days of sitting the battery was only at ~11.2v according to my battery monitor. Tried to start the car and engine didn't turn, brake pedal pushed back at me, and DIC went crazy with things...

    Brake Pad Monitor

2021 Yukon Denali - Just had my front brakes replaced - pads and calipers. They said the 31% dashboard info was wrong because the sensor wasn't working and old brakes were almost worn 100%. I just picked it up and it still shows 31% for front brakes on the DIC. The DIC won't let me...

Installed an Auto Start/Stop Eliminator… works great, buy one!

I installed mine a couple of months ago on a 2021 Yukon Denali that I bought used last Aug - works like a charm! As others have said, the auto-stop is SO ANNOYING - this was a really good mod, the purchased unit is totally professional looking, and super easy to install. Although - I get the...

2021 Yukon Denali trailer light issues

I have a 2021 Yukon Denali and with a "Trailering" app to verify trailer running lights, brake, and turn signals are working. But I don't see a "Diagnostic" screen on my rig - how does it come up? and do you have a "Trailing" app / does it work or show the issue?

First Towing Experience 2021 Yukon Denali - 5300lb trailer, with and without stablizer

We just finished a 1,400mile trip from Oregon to Idaho and back. Near Boise / I-84 we had an occasion to driver 70mph (fastest yet) as this was 'slow' compared to the 80mph speed limit AND the winds were 25mph gusting to 35mph thru the entire 70mile stretch we drove on this freeway. The 21...

2022 Tahoe aftermarket airbags for towing - do they exist?

80% towing, 20% non-towing right now. Yes, and.... we don't have 'a problem' towing with 1" sag... so not sure it's worth messing with. Not sure how deep the sag is for the OP

2022 Tahoe aftermarket airbags for towing - do they exist?

I have a 2021 Yukon Denali with magnetic ride but not air bags. I have a 650lb tongue weight trailer and with WDH it pulls the rear down 1" and front up 1/2". I've tried to research retrofit of air ride but doesn't seem to exist. But maybe heavier duty springs would be good enough? This...

    2021 Denali Assist Handle

So interesting. We bought a used 2021 Denali a few months ago and I just went out and checked. Indeed, the handle is up over the seat as described and useless - my left arm (passenger side) doesn't leverage properly to use it for hoisting up. And even on the driver's side (right arm) it's...

    Towing stability

Went back and found the feature I read when purchasing the rig.... Based on you're comments, I'm guessing the "(if properly equipped)" means GMC integrated tow package. On the other hand, a little google found these..... This youtube (11 yrs ago) talks about stabilitrack supported sway control...

    Towing stability

Is there any stability response/support in a 2021 Yukon Denali when towing without the factory brake controller installed? I'm towing 5300lbs w/Curt after-market brake controller + WDH and interested in towing info in general. I understand the vehicle can't apply trailer braking (doesn't...

    New Denali Ultimate Questions

And for changing a tire, on my 2021 Yukon Denali, the physical key in the Fob is needed to unlock the 'thing' that let's you lower the spare tire back near the hitch. So maybe check that the key works in the lock? (I did :) )

Is it possible to keep truck too long?

I have a 2004 Cadillac SRX with 170K miles that I bought brand-new. It's running smoothly due to ongoing repairs. The only things not working are the driver seat heat and the CD portion of the entertainment unit. The problem for a while now - parts are no longer easily available. When I...

    Towing stability

This got me curious so I took a pic of my 2021 Yukon Denali hitch (as apposed to the door label) and it shows 850lb tongue and 8,500lb trailer. The door sticker is 750lb tongue and 7,500lb towing.

Front Mount Hitch (2" receiver) for 2021 Yukon Denali?

Ah - yes. My 'guy' is scheduled to fabricate this front receiver in the next couple of weeks. I'll get pics and post and perhaps that will help in you're planning. But, along this line, I believe I saw a 'bolt on' front receiver for Sierra 21+ and that's back to the idea of using this...

Front Mount Hitch (2" receiver) for 2021 Yukon Denali?

Yea I saw the tow hooks. And in fact, my front bumper (the rubber part) has squares that looks like you can cut them out for the tow hooks. But I need a front receiver, not tow hooks, and once I get a receiver it can double as a tow point.

Front Mount Hitch (2" receiver) for 2021 Yukon Denali?

I have a guy lined up to fabricate one in the next few weeks - will report back what happens / how it looks. Speculation.... continued to research and I see some front hitch options on etrailer.com for 2021+ Sierra's with 6.2 and wonder if the frame is similar or even the same - but not...

    40,000 Mile Report

Bought a 2021 Denali w/6.2L last August from Hertz with 49K miles. We're up to 53K ( towing at 5300lb trailer) and it's running smoothly - very nice towing/ride :).

2021 Yukon 6.2L not driven much - how often does it need to be driven for good health?

No leaks, just draining slowly in to the oil pan (adjusted my comment above). So that after many weeks there's less than normal oil/fluid in the engine causing excessive wear when one finally starts it. Likely an old wives' tale :)

2021 Yukon 6.2L not driven much - how often does it need to be driven for good health?

We recently bought a used 2021 Yukon Denali w/6.2L for towing our camper. I have a battery tender on it as it can be 4 or 8 or 12 weeks sitting in the garage between camping trips. Question: How often (beside battery charging) does a vehicle need to be 'exercised' to keep oil / internals...

    Buyer Beware - Don't Buy a Yukon

I bought a brand-new $50K 2004 Cadillac SRX in 2004 - picked 'blue' as the color. So after the paperwork, they pulled up a brand-new blue one... with a small dent over the rear wheel. Had to wait a few days for a fix. Talk about a let-down as one normally expects to 'drive off the lot'...
