DEF level sensor issue
From what I understand the sensor is more like a "Sonar" and not a "Float" type level sensor. this it can be influenced easily high or low and is in exacting at best. I dump a Wally world 2.5 in every 7500 miles roughly, and I've never been low and never been full....- Stbentoak

The engine on the Yukon I got as a replacement for the Yukon that got two engine replacements needs replaced. Yes, you read that correctly.
I was driving a 6.2 rental Surburban last week with about 5700 miles on it. The oil monitor was below 25%. I'm sure it had never been changed since being delivered from the factory. 2025 Escalade to no longer diesel engine option
It would be good to know if this is factually true, as this day is going to come at some point. May be mildly interested in upgrading the last year the diesel is in these vehicles. Wouldn't surprise me really if 2025 was it......- Stbentoak

Nice Ride
I knew about it; it was 100 percent complete nonissue for us. Has a longer life than I'll ever keep the vehicle. Benefits you get between zero and 150 to 200,000 miles are vastly more beneficial than worrying about a belt change that you may never do.- Stbentoak

GDE tune for LM2
I had their tune on my Jeep eco diesel, and it was definitely a noticeable improvement. But I'm not that unhappy with the LM2 and probably wouldn't mess with it even if they had an application available. Just not worth risking the 6/100 warranty over.- Stbentoak

Nice Ride
It definitely sounded great and moved right a long, but the instant mileage meter was always around 12-14 MPG. I surely did enjoy it.... But was glad to get home to the Dmax. Filled it up today for the 1st time in 15 days and have been on the go every day. Like that part.....- Stbentoak

Should I be hesitant to buy a 2023 Yukon Denali Ultimate?
I buy new and keep 6-7 years. I see how they are acting after my extended warranty gives out. If they are trouble free, they hang around a little longer. If they got problems, they are gone. Not going to have to many more cars in my lifetime, so getting a new one here or there is one of my last...- Stbentoak

Nice Ride
Rented this 24 Tahoe Premier on a 4-day vacation. I will say, a very nice vehicle. Great ride and performance. There is just nothing like a big vehicle like this for hauling stuff and people. Still makes me a believer in this platform......- Stbentoak

Extended Warranty
The cheapest time to buy it is w/in the 1st 60 days of purchase. Period. It's also long behind you by the time it comes in to play and you will pay much more 3 years later and get no more coverage. If it helps me get thru 6-7 years with this vehicle, whether used or unused, I got my money vs...- Stbentoak

Pirelli AS plus 3 vs Michelin Defenders LTX M/S
Overall very happy.... much smoother ride and not near as harsh.. You can just tell a quality tire. Will get a good bath soon but raining quite a bit lately! Sam's club did an excellent job, 3 men ganged up on it with 2 changers and balancers and I was out of there in 35 min. All in for 1180.00... -
Low Battery, Engine wouldn't turn over, DIC goes crazy, is this normal?
This really still should not happen. Unless you are only driving a mile a day, normal usage should keep it charged. If you let it set for weeks at a time, that may be another thing, but if you use it.... it should keep it fully charged. If you live in hot temps all the time you may be getting to...- Stbentoak

Ended up going with the Pirelli's at Sams club. They were 50.00 a tire cheaper than Defenders, had a 100.00 a set rebate, and free installation/balance. VS Discount tire they were 600.00 cheaper than if I bought defenders. Discount is getting too big for their britches, charging 92.00 for... -
