    Hers was down on the frame held on by a nice stamped, metal bracket. Maybe it is just certain models that have that vent down on the frame or maybe GM decided having it mounted low was an issue so they moved it up as a running change during production?

    Did your purge valve kit come with instructions and hoses to relocate the purge valve to up by the filler neck from down by the frame? The kit I purchased when I changed out the purge valve on my sister's 2008 Silverado did. Purge valve was stuck closed and it would take fuel at a trickle.

    You need to seal them and use a kit with the fine sandpaper, not a kit with just polishing cream. I've done the headlights on about 6 vehicles with the sanding discs and they always come out great and last as long as you add protectant to them. The Meguire's stuff works well but you have to...

    I use a caliper tool like this and it works well. Have had zero issues with it for years now.

    Not sure I follow you. If you're talking about where I said 'bump a bollard'? This is a bollard. Commonly found in parking lots or anywhere they don't want a vehicle to access.

    You know, just in case you're out on the road and you suddenly need a spare bumper bracket. You never know when you may hit a deer or bump a bollard and suddenly you need a spare bracket to help hold up the bumper. :p

    You totally dodged the bullet with that one. He could have taken you and your truck to jail. And, any ticket for over 100mph stays on your driving record for 7 years, not 4 like a regular ticket. Ask me how I know.
