    Right, I understand what you mean. I was inquiring if others oil pressures seem to warm up faster than mine, or if it might be a guage issue if it seems to be going down a bit even after I would think it’s fully warmed up. I might be just overthinking it though

    This is somewhat unrelated but how much driving does it take for oil to warm up completely for all of you? For example if I drive for only 20 mins or so my hot idle is closer to 33, but after maybe 30-40 mins of driving it’s closer to 30.

    My 05 idles around 30 hot, maybe around 28-30 if a really long drive. I’ve been putting off doing the O-Ring, but I suspect it’s either that or maybe the guage itself. Or it could just be wear, idk, I have 164k.

    I used steel wool to clean the surfaces for intake gaskets, seemed to work pretty well in conjunction with brake clean

    Hey all, Anyone know which years/trims of GMT800 Tahoes had the “Tahoe” badge on the front door? Also which years had the LS badge behind the back doors? My 05 LS has neither of these and I wanted to know if that’s a model year thing or if they were removed at some point.

    Yeah I’ve been on the fence about a dry filter. I like this one since it’s high-flow but between the better cleaning and lack of oil from a dry one I might make the switch. This one is supposedly lifetime, and has been on since well before I’ve had the truck. Any brand recommendation?

    Update: I figured it out, it wasn’t coolant or ATF. I have a K&N filter that I cleaned and re-oiled, apparently some of the filter oil came out through the air filter housing.

    I checked the transmission cooler lines and the heater hoses, and couldn’t see anything. I took a look at the reservoir but it felt dry underneath. Thank you, I’ll keep looking
